Vince, a Dartmoor prison guard and father of one, comes across an abandoned kid’s bicycle on an isolated stretch of moorland road. With the sun setting, he sets off in search of the missing child.

Jed builds such an amazing level of tension, he should hold classes on creating a thriller. Everything about this short works, and though end is abrupt, it leaves you wanting more, which is the key to good filmmaking.

Jed Hart is an award-winning writer/director with a background in short film and music videos. His main interest is in smart, visually striking genre filmmaking and he has a proven track record in getting the most from low budgets.

His previous short, Daddy’s Girl, a tension filled thriller, was funded by Creative England/BFI. It debuted at Encounters and has received a Vimeo Staff Pick.

Jed’s latest short Candy Floss is currently in post production and will be on the festival circuit later this year, again funded by Creative England.
